Company and Stock Identity
How MaineHealth Connects to the Public Market
- Company structure
- Not for profit health system
- Market access
- No current public listing was verified.
- Research focus
- A clinician account published by a vendor is a reference call you did not have to book, and it should be read that way. Ask which service the clinician works in, because a family medicine visit is the easiest setting for a note drafting tool and an emergency department is the hardest. MaineHealth's own news page carried no AI announcement of its own when it was read, so the public record here is the vendor version. If you want the system's own view, ask its informatics team directly.
The MaineHealth about page, read on 2026-10-31, calls it a not for profit integrated health system serving 1.1 million residents in Maine and New Hampshire, with a Level 1 trauma medical centre and eight more licensed hospitals, about 25,000 care team members, more than 2,800 physicians and advance practice providers in the MaineHealth Medical Group, and more than 2,000 physicians through its accountable care organisation. Its own news page dated 9 October 2026 says York Hospital joined MaineHealth, so the system is still growing by adding members. Checked on 2026-10-31.

A MaineHealth family doctor says Abridge Assistant saves her about 30 minutes a day
Abridge published an interview on 18 October 2026 with Dr Jessica Faraci, a family medicine physician at MaineHealth, about her use of Abridge Assistant. She says the tool saves her about 30 minutes a day and that medical history letters now take three to five minutes to finish. The piece also names Abridge products it calls Assistant for Clinicians, the Assistant Prompt Library and Care Signals, and cites a Sutter Health case study in which 78 percent of clinicians reported improved work satisfaction. It is an Abridge blog interview rather than a study, and it reports the experience of one physician.
Why it matters: One named doctor describing her own day is worth more than it looks, because she can be asked about it later and a vendor average cannot. Thirty minutes a day is also a believable number rather than an impressive one, which is a point in its favour. What it is not is evidence. One family medicine physician at one health system tells you nothing about how the tool behaves in a busy emergency department or on a complicated specialty visit, and nobody reports whether the notes and letters were accurate. The Sutter Health figure is about how clinicians felt, and satisfaction can rise while note quality falls. Read this as a reference call that happens to be published.
Careers and Qualifications
What to Know Before Applying
Work areas: The careers page hires registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, medical assistants, physicians, advanced practice providers and nurse anaesthetists, and says it recruits job seekers at all experience levels with training programmes including certified nursing assistant apprenticeships. It calls MaineHealth the largest integrated health system in northern New England and points applicants to its own careers portal.
Qualification signal: This is a rural and small city system across two states, so the useful experience is broad rather than deep. A clinician who has covered several services in one week will fit better than a narrow specialist. For technology roles, the signal is having supported sites that are far apart and staffed thinly, because that is the real constraint here.
Check current roles at MaineHealth. A careers page is the source of record for openings. This profile does not claim a role is open unless the company lists it now.

- Did the saved work disappear, or move to another team?
Regulatory and workflow questions
- Which AI tools here touch a care decision, and which only handle paperwork?
- Who signs off that a tool is safe to leave running on live patient data?
- What is the published review process when a tool gets something wrong?
Data and contract questions
- Which patient data leave the organization to reach the vendor, and how long are they kept?
- Can the organization see and export the records the AI tool created?
- Who is told when a vendor changes the model behind a tool already in use?

FDA Clearances on Record
No clearance is linked in this directory. That is not automatically a mark against the company. Some products support the people doing the work instead of reading a patient image or signal themselves.
